Singamari is about 3.7 km from Darjeeling Railway Station, at an altitude of 7,001 ft (2,134m). Tukvar station is at 4,834 ft (1472m). Your ride starts from Singamari and goes 2.5 km downhill to Tukvar, where you have 10-15 minutes for sightseeing and snacks before returning to Singamari.
One more thing to note is that on your returning ride, you may face a long queue up to board the gondola, to avoid this queue, don’t get off at Tukvar Station & get back on the same gondola. If there’s no rush, you could get off and enjoy the beauty around Tukvar Station.
